Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the design of my cake?

The number of guests you intend to cater for will determine the size of the cake. If you are having a three-course meal or cocktail function, your guests will generally require only a coffee portion. Each piece is approximately 2.5cm x 2.5cm x 7cm. If you would like to offer a more substantial portion or serve it as a course on its own, we would recommend  a dessert-sized portion. A dessert portion will be a triple coffee portion.

When designing a wedding cake, please show us: the colour theme of the bride and bridesmaid's fabric; any stationery and flowers that you intend to use. We can then incoporate those elements into the design to create your own masterpiece.

How much can I expect to pay?

Our cakes vary in price. Our Masterpiece Cakes start from $150 for our 'Fiorentino' frame (16.5cm x 16.5cm x 7cm). Our wallpaper cakes start from $140  for our 'Sweetheart' cake (approx. 18cm x 18cm x 7cm).

For sculpture cakes and wedding cakes our biggest cost determinants are size, the number of guests catered for, the complexity of the design and decoration and the time needed to create your chosen design. Please speak to us about your cake and we will provide you with a quote.

How do I care for my cake?

Keep the cake in a cool, dry place before the event. Refrigerate after cutting for up to 7 days, or freeze to preserve.

When should I order my cake!

Generally, 5 days notice is adequate. However, for wedding cakes we prefer at least 4 weeks notice.

For cakes under $400, payment can be COD, EFT or PayPal (prior to delivery). For cakes over $400, a 50% deposit is required at the time the order is made and the balance before delivery.
